Suomen Teollisuuskatot continued its strong performance despite the challenging market conditions. In 2024, the company’s revenue grew by 64 percent to 15.6 million euros. The year 2025 has started with a strong financial foundation and a high equity ratio. Strong financial performance and over 30 years of experience provide a solid foundation for future growth.
In 2024, the company’s revenue grew to 15.6 million euros, compared to 9.5 million euros in 2023, representing a 64 percent increase. Operating profit rose to 980,000 euros (+66%) and net profit to 700,000 euros (+63%). The number of employees increased to 14 (+56%). The equity ratio increased from 49.5 percent to 65.4 percent.
“We are particularly pleased that our growth has continued strongly in a challenging market. Our business has remained profitable and our finances are on a strong foundation. Last year, our company celebrated its 30th anniversary and has achieved a strong position in the market. The deep expertise and experience gained over the decades are in demand.
The most significant growth factor has been large new projects, which we have often been involved in from the planning stage. Large roofing projects have shown that fire safety is a competitive advantage, and we are very strong in this area. We implemented the first FM-approved roof structure at the Onnela logistics center in Hyvinkää. FM approval is a demanding standard that ensures the durability and safety of the roof from various perspectives.
Environmental friendliness and material recyclability have also been significant growth factors. We specialize in PVC roofing solutions that minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable development. Cool roofs meet our customers’ needs by improving energy efficiency and supporting BREEAM environmental certification. We have implemented projects that meet these high environmental requirements for companies such as Kesko, Logicenters, and Spatium Toimitilat. Single-ply PVC waterproofing membranes can be recycled, supporting the circular economy and reducing waste.
The innovative Reroof solution launched last year has been very well received in the market. Collaboration with other industry players and experts is important as it accelerates the introduction of new solutions to the market. Growth has also required strengthening our internal organization, and we have hired more skilled professionals in management, logistics, marketing, and administration.
Future prospects remain uncertain, and there are no signs of improvement yet. I believe this year will be challenging due to the unstable global situation. We are prepared for tougher competition as new players enter industrial construction. The decisive factor will be when investments start on a large scale.
Although the market situation is challenging, we will not remain idle but strive to find growth for this year as well. As an agile and innovative player, we can quickly respond to changes in the market. Depending on customer needs, we can expand our offering to cover the entire building envelope. We already have experience with this from a significant expansion project in Kajaani.
We look at the market area from a broader perspective and have also directed our attention outside Finland. Particularly interesting are green transition and critical infrastructure projects such as construction related to logistics, digital communications, and security of supply. In critical infrastructure projects, where the cost of roof damage can be very high, there is growing demand for FM-approved roof structures. An FM-approved roof structure provides the builder and property user with assurance that the roof is implemented in the best possible way, using high-quality and comprehensively tested materials.
